Adjustable Beds
An adjustable bed may be the solution to getting a restful night's sleep.
There is a wide range of models available: adjustable head and foot,
hi-low action, with cot-sides, single and double sized - the latter with
the two sides independently adjustable.
Alternatively, a product such as the Mattress Genie
can be used to turn any conventional bed into an adjusting one. The pillow
lift is inserted under the mattress and uses an electric pump to inflate
the air chamber until the desired angle is found.
Among the benefits of an adjustable bed, choosing the right sleeping position
can help with circulation problems, indigestion, pressure sensitivity.
Some beds include a massage unit, to help ease aching muscles and joints, to help you sleep better, and improve mobility in the morning.
A unique solution which combines an adjustable bed with powered assistance to get in and out of bed,
the Rotoflex, shown right, is available as a single or double bed.
A single button push on the hand control moves the user between a sitting and lying position, and as there are two separate mattresses in the double bed configuration, all adjustments can be made without disturbing the other person.
