This bath is modelled along the same lines as the hugely successful Parker Bath. The swing bath from Assisticare shares the same unique features which makes this type of bath the preferred bath of choice for high dependency bathing.

Features

• Shape of bath provides increased support and comfort for the user and so reducing the likelihood of slippage down the bath and lessening the risk of injury to carers when they have to correct this problem.
• When the bath is in the reclined position the user is placed in a horizontal position and so improving further the bathing process.
• The design of the Swing bath means that there can be a number of access methods in-order to provide the carer with the most flexible assisted bathing solution. From independent bathers who require a degree of assistance to highly dependent users the Swing bath addresses a broad spectrum of needs.
• The Swing can be used with mobile and ceiling type hoists.
• The design of the bath means that the bath can be pre-filled with the required amount of water prior to transferring into the bath.
• Bath can be reclined to any position to meet the user's preference.
• Door opening allows for optimum working for the carer even in limited bathrooms.
• The bath is pre-filled with thermostatically controlled water prior to the user either accessing or being transferred into the bath via a hoist.
• The water is held in a foot well at the tap end of the bath and is contained there whilst the user is placed in a safe, comfortable position at the opposite end of the bath.
• Once in position the door is closed and manually locked to create the seal then the bath is reclined via an electric switch mechanism under control of either the carer or the user.
• The water slowly transfers from the foot-well to the remainder of the bath and pleasantly immerses the user to about mid-chest height.
• Upon completion of bathing the bath can be returned to its upright position. As the water drains back into the foot-well this allows the carer to attend to drying the user's upper body.
• Once the bath is fully upright and the water has returned to the foot-well the door can be opened and so giving increased access for further drying prior to exiting the bath.
