Infra Red Disabled Hand Controls

image of infrared disabled hand controls A better driving experience with Smartsteer

SmartSteer is a handheld steering device, which also enables the driver to operate the vehicles secondary functions at the touch of a button.

With the option of up to 10 or 13 way functions, the SmartSteer can typically control:

• Indicators & hazard lights
• Headlights
• Horn
• Windscreen wipers (front and rear)
• Windscreen washers (front and rear)
• Fog lights
• Other functions may be possible, eg Radio on/off, heated windscreen, etc

The design of the SmartSteer is ergonomic and robust to provide assured and safe control whilst also offering variable positioning on the steering wheel for maximum comfort.
The SmartSteer has an automatic dimming handset and can be quickly released from the steering wheel when not in use, or when the vehicle is left unattended.
SmartSteer works exceptionally well in tandem with either the SmartDrive or the SmartTwinFlip for stroke sufferers, amputees, people with leg/foot injuries either temporary or permanent or ‘drive from wheelchair’ users.

Why use SmartSteer?

Unlike other remote control systems, there is no separate key pad to the steering ball, which makes identifying the correct switch easy whilst the driver remains in complete control, for example, when negotiating and signalling to exit a roundabout.
The SmartSteer is balanced so that the operating buttons are always in the correct position, without the driver having to correct the handset when negotiating a corner or returning to the vehicle.

1) SmartSteer comes with a 5 year guarantee rather than the usual 12 months
2) SmartSteer is suitable for both right and left handed drivers, making it extremely adaptable
3) SmartSteer automatically cancels the indicators, the driver doesn’t have to do it manually (optional)
