Volker Vis-a-Vis Care Bed

The Volker Vis-à-vis bed continues the company's tradition by enabling more than just an increase in mobility of clients - it allows for active independence.

Commonly, clients who are unable or choose not to leave their beds are not entirely immobile. Often, more mobility is possible if the bed can be adjusted in such a manner that it forms a seat in which the user's feet can be placed firmly on the floor.

The "stand-up stimulus" is initiated by the correct sitting position, the lowering of the thigh section and the raising of the head section of the bed.

When the bottom third of the bed is slid across as shown, it also provides a useful position from which care can be given, at eye level.

Assisted transfers are improved as assistance can be given from in front, rather than the side, as on a conventional bed.

The special drive motors that move the bed sections were designed in conjunction with Porsche Engineering.
