Volker 5380 Low-Level Bed

The Volker 5380 has been designed to benefit users at risk of falls and where side rails are considered too restraining. The advanced split side rail system which can hide below the beds surface combined with the ultra-low undercarriage produce the benefits of the Volker 3080 with a very low surface height.

The Volker 5380 is suited to an individual within their own home and also to care homes requiring professional nursing beds for use within multi-occupancy environments.

The four independent side rails move in line with the profile of the lying surface - the major benefit being that users are still protected from falling from the bed, even when in a sitting position. The rails can also be used to aid the user to a standing position, especially when used in conjunction with the height adjustment feature. When not in use the side rails fold neatly and discreetly away below the lying surface.

A fall prevention mat, with hooks to attach it to the bed frame, is available for use with this and other beds in the healthcare range.
