Wet Floor Shower AreaPerfect for any wet floor application, the growth of ShowerDec® continues to increase as installers and users alike become aware of its exceptionally versatile properties and adaptability. Bathroom accessibility has never been so important, and the functional design of the ShowerDec® range allows the bathroom to be totally user-friendly. The pre-formed gradient incorporated into ShowerDec®'s top surface removes the inconvenience of having to create your own falls in the floor. Practical for wooden or solid floor situations, ShowerDec® is concealed underneath the vinyl floor covering. The requirement of a ramp to enable wheeledchair access is completely eliminated, enabling the room to be used as a complete wet area.
Installing a ShowerDec® could not be easier. Remove an amount of the exisitng flooring to accept the 22mm thick ShowerDec®. When siting within a wooden floor, the ShowerDec® would rest on the exisitng joists. If the floorboards are 18mm deep, it would be necessary to make the remaining exposed floor and the ShowerDec® absolutely level using plywood. Fill the joint using a resin car body filler or similar to form a strong bond between the ShowerDec® and your floor. The vinyl sheeting can now be laid using a 2 part water resistant adhesive.
Prepare the floor covering to accept the gully cover and to receive the welded corner joint. The appearance of the bathroom should soon resemble a perfect wet floor area. Installing a ShowerDec® reduces expensive labour costs and on site disruption, as the difficulty of creating and forming gradients is completely removed.
