Portable access ramps
This singlefold lightweight fibreglass ramp (left) is exclusive to Bentley Fielden. Ideal for use by wheelchairs and scooters - both three and four wheel. Lightweight for ease of carrying, it has a non-slip safety surface and a weight capacity of 200kg (440lbs). Available in lengths up to 4' (1215mm). Where a longer length portable ramp is required, our multifold ramps fold in half lengthwise and widthwise, so that a 7' (2133mm) ramp can be stowed in a car boot, for example. We also have telescopic track ramps, which are very compact for storage, but cannot be used by three wheel scooters. Portable ramp prices (excluding VAT and delivery):
All these ramps, together with more technical information, are shown on www.portablewheelchairramps.co.uk (it will open in a new window) Mobile wheelchair lift
The answer to this problem is a Mobilift mobile wheelchair lift, which can be wheeled into position, manually elevated, then lowered and wheeled away when not in use. Among its many advantages, the Mobilift requires no power, no special training to operate it, and has a lifting platform large enough to accommodate an electric wheelchair or scooter. 5lbs (2.27kg) of crank force is required to lift 150lbs (68kg) and 11lbs (5kg) to lift 300lbs (136kg). Capacity is 600lbs (273kg); all lifts are factory tested to 3000lbs (1364kg). A lift to maximum height typically takes 20 seconds. The user leaves the Mobilift via a supplied bridge ramp, which is available in different lengths to suit various situations. When it is no longer required, the Mobilift can be rolled away for storage as easily as pushing a shopping cart. Supplied as standard in a grey and natural aluminium finish, with a 20" (50 cm) bridge ramp, the Mobilift is customisable with varying ramp lengths, 180 different colour finishes and opposite side cranking and loading. Prices start at £6880 for a Mobilift with 20" exit bridge, including UK delivery and on-site demonstration. New mattress raiser
At the touch of a button, you can raise your bed to the angle that best suits your needs: the lift chamber inflates fully in less than a minute, raising the head of your mattress up to 40°, or about 26" (65 cm). It gently deflates using gravity and body weight, in less than three minutes. The Mattress Genie uses a maintenance-free electric pump to push air into the lift chamber, which is made of a thick, durable polymer with double welded seams that prevent air from escaping. As the lift chamber fills with air, it gently flexes your mattress and the head of your bed is raised to the desired level. The wand control is illuminated for night-time use and allows you to operate the Mattress Genie from the palm of your hand. With no exposed mechanical moving parts, this mattress raiser is compact and portable enough to take on trips away from home, and works with weight of up to 1000 lbs (454 kg). The cost, including VAT and overnight delivery, is just:
You may be entitled to purchase the Mattress Genie free of VAT if you are chronically sick or disabled. Please ask for an exemption certificate. Top of page
