Dual and Triple Motor ChairsWhile single motor chairs follow a set sequence for the upwards movement of the footrest and the recline of the chair back, a "dual motor chair" allows independent control of the footrest and the chair back, with a separate button to control each one, thus allowing a greater diversity of seating positions. It also features a completely horizontal recline which can be used as a sleeping position if required.
Our dual motor chairs are available in seat widths from 18" to 24", and as with all of our reclining chairs, we will tailor the chair to suit your individual seating requirements. These chairs support weights of up to 25 stone.
Triple motor chairs are available in seat widths from 24" to 28", with a 35 stone capacity.
Dual motor chairs are widely used by NHS Trusts nationally for Day Surgery patients as a recovery chair bed.
The chair shown is the "Avalon", which has a new-style button-back with fibre filling, which provides very soft, deep lumbar support, and curves round the shoulders, eliminating the need for a headroll. It also provides a higher back - 31" from the seat.
