Robot 200 wheelchair lift The Robot 200 operates automatically when you activate an electrical switch or remote control. The rear hatch or boot lid opens and the Robot 200 brings the wheelchair to your side. When the wheelchair is released, the Robot 200 returns to the rear, and the hatch door or boot lid closes and locks. Suitable for any vehicle capable of housing the wheelchair in the back, the Robot 200 is manufactured from strong and durable material, making it highly reliable. Simple and convenient to use, it delivers the wheelchair to the driver's door in about 30 seconds. Some other benefits of the Robot 200 system: • Does not occupy a passenger seat inside the vehicle Hand Controls
These features provide the driver with maximum leg/knee room, and knee contact with the controls is eliminated. Due to the way the rods are fitted to the brake and accelerator pedals, the option of having both pedals flipped-up is available. Each hand control is designed for the vehicle, and they are possibly the lightest and smoothest push/pull controls on the market today. They can be installed at our works or supplied to our wide network of installers throughout the UK. They are approved by all leading vehicle manufacturers. We also install mechanical and electronic ring accelerators, and manufacture special grips to suit the individual. All automatic and manual vehicles can be converted, either fully or partially to suit the individual. Twin Flip-up Accelerators
It still remains the best, and we are the leading supplier of the system in the UK and Europe. The operation is simplicity itself. Pull down the pedal required, and the other pedal flips up automatically. The two pedals are linked by a small cable which is out of sight when installed. This system is recommended by Motability on their vehicles. The standard system, shown here, is for right leg disabled drivers, and we can also supply a left leg disabled system. Meyland Carlift (right)
The lift is operated either by the disabled person, or - if necessary - by an assistant. The Meyland Carlift can be mounted in either the left or the right hand side of cars with two or four doors, and the lift arm is adjustable to fit the lift to different car sizes. The lifting/lowering function works by a 12 volt motor, which is supplied with power from the car battery. The lift is operated from a small control box with push buttons, and the box is magnetic so it may be placed anywhere on the lift when not in use. The box is connected to the lift with a spiral cable long enough to make it possible for an assistant outside the car to operate the lift. The sideways movements are done manually. The lift is supplied with a canvas sling seat which has three mounting points to give a safe lift, and the sling seat is available in five different sizes. When the Meyland Carlift is not in use or while driving it can either stay on the console or in one single grip be lifted off and put into the boot. If the lift console is removed no visible traces are normally seen: an advantage if the car is to be sold. The Meyland Carlift weighs only 13.5 kg (30lbs) - but can lift up to 125 kg (275 lbs)
