Dressing Aids
Left:
an easy grip button hook passes through the buttonhole and hooks the
button closed.
Right: wooden-handled dressing stick has a double hook and can be used
for pulling and pushing.
Left: a Sock aid or stocking aid can assist with putting on socks, stocking and tights, if
you have problems moving your hips or knees. It is also helpful for pulling
on compression hosiery, which can be difficult for anyone.
A word of warning to anyone with varicose veins. Take care when using aids to put on socks or stockings as a cut or blow from the plastic edge could easily cause the veins to bleed, which can be fatal.
Right: a range of long-handled grooming and washing aids make hairdressing
and personal care easier.
