Compared with conventional wheelchair electric motors, you have up to 45% more range. The entire driving mechanism is integrated harmoniously into the rear wheels. The maintenance-free planetary gear provides an efficient and powerful drive. The advantage is despite having small and manageable storage batteries, large distances can be travelled. Depending on the type of terrain, you can keep going for up to 45km/28 miles. Thanks to the innovative motor design, energy is put back into the batteries when you travel downhill, thus increasing the range.

As well as powerchairs, EPC are also able to supply a range of power add on’s to convert your manual wheelchair to powered when required.
Pictured right is the Powered wheelchair drive attachment from Roma Medical. This drive wheel attachment is designed to provide additional propulsion for the attendant/carer. This allows a wheelchair user of up to 21 stone to be pushed with minimal effort. The powerpack easily attaches to most manual wheelchairs and uses a finger controlled variable speed throttle to operate the twin drive wheels. The powerpack can be easily detached from the wheelchair in seconds to allow the wheelchair to be folded for storage or transportation.
Alber E-Motion – E-motion merges active mobility with therapeutic benefit. Even wheelchair users with impaired strength can move around independently with the help of E-motion.
Thanks to the gearless drive technology and low level noise, E-motion has electric motors integrated into the wheel hubs to support the user’s pushing force. Each pulse on the handrim is detected and amplified allowing the user to remain independent, push longer distances and climb slopes.
Alber E-Fix – The electrical add-on drive for your wheelchair, you can cover longer distances quickly and easily. The conversion is easy: swap the rear wheels, install the battery pack and control unit and you now have a powered wheelchair.
The big advantage of the E-fix is its low weight. This makes it very easy to load into a car. Just undo the quick-release devide and the E-fix components can be removed from the wheelchair in a moment, without the need for any tools. No part weighs more than 9kg. Once dismantled, the e-fix finds space in the back of any car. It’s just as quick and easy to reassemble when at your destination.
