Wheelchair Accessible - no compromise

For nearly 40 years wheelchair accessible vehicles have essentially remained the same: access through the rear, a wheelchair position in the rear with a loss of the boot and some rear seats. Some exceptions to the rule managed a front passenger position but still relied on the age-old method of rear access, rendering a once useful multi-purpose vehicle, well, less useful and less multi-purpose.

Why should using a wheelchair in a car mean that the best bits of that car are then made useless?

A wheelchair accessible vehicle has always guaranteed one thing – compromise. 40 years without a change, without innovation and evolution would not be accepted in any other industry.
