Finding a comfortable seat is often impossible, and standing around can be tiresome. But a British company may have solved that problem with a lightweight, sturdy walking cane that converts to a seat at the press of a button.

Unlike a three legged stool or chair, you don’t have to lower yourself down but simply perch on the Flipstick, reducing pressure on the back, legs and lower body.

Flipstick was originally designed and engineered to meet the need for a lightweight, portable seat in the senior, leisure and lifestyle markets.

Unlike traditional heavy and often expensive shooting sticks - which were first seen in 1851 - Flipstick uses lightweight, modern materials to maximum effect. It has a durable, attractively finished aluminium stem and a moulded plastic seat/handle.

A patented press button ‘locks’ the bicycle saddle-shaped seat into position for either walking or sitting.

A large non-slip rubber foot will cope with most indoor and outdoor surfaces.
