TOTO Lateral Turning System

TOTO is a base that can be added to any standard single bed, providing similar features to many specialist turning beds, but at a fraction of the cost! Furthermore, the system is compatible with the back lift mechanism of a profiling bed, and can even operate in this configuration!

For people confined to bed for long periods, pressure sores are a real problem. TOTO provides a programmable tilting cycle that periodically moves the patient. The system tilts the patient very gently (over a 10 minute period) and is whisper quiet so it does not interrupt sleep. The system is also fully automated, saving busy care staff valuable time to devote elsewhere.

TOTO also provides a full patient turning facility, with the optional fast inflate unit. When used in this mode, the system tilts to a much higher angle, over a much shorter period (approximately one minute). This enables patients to be moved with less risk than by traditional moving and handling methods.

With Turning Unit
• Automated turning cycle, with user controlled "Dwell" time
• Very gentle lift to avoid disturbing sleep (approx 10 mins)
• Whisper quiet (<20dB) operation
• Lifts to 30 degrees

With Fast Inflate Unit
• User controlled air supply unit for turning of patient
• Lift time between one and two minutes depending on client weight
• Lifts to 70 degree angle for turning
• Weight limit: 445kg (70 stone)
