Renault Kangoo on Motability with no Advance Payment
In
a bold move, Gowrings Mobility has entered its most popular conversion,
the Renault Kangoo 1.2, onto the Motability Scheme with nothing at all
to pay as Advance Payment. Gowrings Mobility has joined forces with scheme
operator, Motability Operations to make this possible.
The Motability Scheme is open to anyone who receives the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRDLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. This means that customers will simply give up their HRDLA to Motability and in return, receive a brand new, fully converted Gowrings Mobility Kangoo, with nothing more to pay.
The Gowrings Mobility Renault Kangoo (right) is one of the most popular wheelchair accessible Kangoo conversions available on the market and Gowrings Mobility sells more Kangoo conversions than anyone else in the U.K. The model available on the Motability Scheme for no advance payment is the Gowrings Mobility Kangoo 1.2 Authentique with metallic paint. The conversion is designed around the needs of the wheelchair user, with safety, comfort and space a priority. The rear floor is lowered and at the rear, there is a short, lightweight drop-down ramp, which, thanks to the lowered floor, has a shallow angle for easy access. The low floor enables the wheelchair user to be seated at a similar height as the other rear passenger, for improved visibility and comfort when travelling. A four-point wheelchair restraint system is installed with a personal lap and diagonal seat belt for the wheelchair user.
Gowrings Mobility is a Renault Recognised Converter, and its Kangoo has achieved the prestigious Renault Accord Technique Accreditation accolade, which guarantees servicing at the local Renault dealer network and maintains the original manufacturer’s warranty.

Gowrings launches first wheelchair-accessible Chrysler Grand Voyager Stow ‘n’ Go
The
Gowrings Grand Voyager (left) features a row of Stow ‘n’ Go
seats, the revolutionary seating system which enables the seats to be
folded flat into, and uniquely not onto, the floor within 30 seconds.
Folding the Stow ‘n’ Go seats involves a virtually effortless
operation without the need for the head restraints to be removed. There
is a spacious area for the wheelchair user to travel in sumptuous style
with fantastic all-round visibility.
With the Stow ‘n’ Go seats upright and in use, the Gowrings Mobility conversion accommodates one wheelchair user, three seated passengers and the driver, with the added benefit of covered, under-floor compartments giving 156 litres of extra storage. The Grand Voyager has been fully converted to the renowned Gowrings Conversion Standard, with a lowered floor and integral ramp, hydraulic lowering suspension, and a 4-pt wheelchair securing system and a lap and diagonal belt for the wheelchair user.
The Stow ‘n’ Go seating system won over the judging panels of What Car? Awards 2005, with the Grand Voyager scooping first place in the Best Large MPV category. The Gowrings design engineering team has also made several technical and visual enhancements to the Grand Voyager to make it an even more attractive and appealing purchase for the discerning wheelchair user. This includes increased internal headroom by 5cms; sunken electric wheelchair restraint belts for a sleeker finish and a much wider but lightweight integral ramp.
The Gowrings Mobility 4 in 4 power chair
This chair was designed specifically for travelling in a car, with safety, comfort and adaptability in mind. It is the first power chair to sucessfully pass rigorous impact testing by the Transport Research Laboratory. Flexiloc Ramps
An
award-winning modular ramping system which was designed in Denmark, Flexiloc
consists of polyurethane tiles which interlock together to form a tough
but flexible semi-permanent solution. Ramps can be constructed and dismantled
easily using only minimal tools and reused again and again.
Gowrings has a set of standard kit solutions which meet most needs, along with two great travel-bag portable kits which include a set of ready-to-use ramps. Bespoke solutions and full flooring systems are also available in conjunction with the manufacturer to cater for shapes and colours not available in standard kits. We can also supply simple telescopic ramps for use with buildings.
