Our Experience
Coupled with our ability to comprehensively manage hundreds of packages of care across England and Wales is the pride we take in the personal attention to detail that a family-run business brings. We have provided live-in care for over 17 years, making us one of the longest-established and largest providers in the country.

We directly employ all of our carers
What this means is that we assume all employer's responsibilities, such as pay, tax, national insurance and liability. In addition to this, we are accountable for the regular supervision, assessment and training of all carers on an ongoing basis. The live-in care we provide is for seven days a week and can be short or long term. If you use a provider who does not employ their carers, you may face complications such as having to deal with the Inland Revenue as an employer yourself; sourcing replacement care when your carer is on holiday or if they become ill; not being able to arrange a long-term care package, or even seven day a week care. And it will be less easy to ensure that your carer benefits from regular training and supervision.

We guarantee to provide cover
Should you choose Helping Hands we can guarantee that you will never be left without a carer. Breaks for carers are all scheduled in advance so that a suitable replacement can be found and a lengthy handover between the two can be arranged. This often includes an overnight stay so that the full day and night routines can be understood.

We provide continuity of care
We do not rotate our carers on a two week on / two week off basis. Typically our carers are able to support you for about six weeks before they need some time off, and in this instance our guarantee of cover comes into effect, with the original carer returning once rested. Having the same person in place enables a personal bond and trust to develop.
