Boy sitting on edge of cot Paediatric Care Cots

CosySafe Cot is a fully electric four-part profiling bed. It is height adjustable from 40cm - 80cm and has Trendelenburg positioning. The outward opening doors and sides are made from beautifully tooled and finished ash wood, giving the appearance of a handcrafted, designer piece of furniture. The doors and sides can either be wooden bars or Perspex panels, and are available up to 1000mm high.

The CosySafe is available with made-to-measure, soft but waterproof and anti-microbial fabric in beautiful patterns and colours. One of its main attributes is that the padding does not need to be removed to operate any of the bed functions.

The cot is wheelchair accessible for parents, and is ideal for long-term care as it can be converted into a standard height adjustable profiling bed.

Another product that many carers of disabled children find very helpful is the Kindersafe bumper. We designed this in response to a hazard notice from the MDA, when we were approached by Beverley Walters who is a member of a paediatric care team in Shropshire. She explained the ongoing problem of finding safe bedsides for the many children in her care, and together we developed the Kindersafe Bumper.

The soft but sturdy side walls surround the entire mattress leaving no gaps. All dangers of entrapment and asphyxiation are eliminated as the bumper is attached to a base underneath the mattress. Velcro straps provide a safe working load of 300 lbs. and provide quick and easy access for carers. The sides will drop down and can be easily released if wished. The fabric we use is very durable and will not support microbial growth including MRSA. This specialised fabric will not stain and can be wiped clean with any domestic detergent. It also looks and feels good and would look great in any bedroom.

We have also supplied the bumper to Care Homes where it proves to be very successful with elderly residents. The Kindersafe bumper is available in a good range of colours and patterns, to suit adults and children.
