The in-house design and technology team are constantly enhancing their products to suit customers' changing needs, so that their stairlifts can be supplied with some distinctive features, such as a 45° downward facing chair for particularly narrow stairs (shown left), or where the user has limited knee flexion; an off-set footrest for tight winding steps, which allows the rail to be kept to a minimum height for comfort and safety.

Image of curved stair lift with drop nose railThe folding hinges on Freelift's straight and curved stairlifts are fully automatic, and simply operate via the joystick. The distinctive 'drop nose' ending on a Freelift curved rail (shown right) can often eliminate the need for a hinge altogether.

All these features are being demonstrated with working lifts on Freelift's stand.
