Four
wheeled walkers
Nordic Care Services supplies a comprehensive range of Swedish, high
quality, ergonomically correct four-wheeled rollators (walkers). These
are widely used in Sweden as part of that country's successful Fall Prevention
programme.
Walkers are generally prescribed as soon as a gait or balance impairment
problem is diagnosed. They are designed to be used both indoors and outdoors,
and to suit users of every size and suffering from a wide variety of ailments,
such as: osteoporosis; arthritis; MS; Parkinson's disease; etc. There
are general purpose and specialsit models within the range available.
A large variety of accessories for the various walkers are also available
to make everyday life easier and safer for the user.
Shown on the left is the Dolomite Alpha specialist walker with gutter
handles. It is height adjustable, and includes a strong, comfortable folding
seat.

Snap-on
crutch and stick holder
Falling walking sticks and crutches are a major cause of falls, fractures
and other accidents - the Snap-on system is a simple, cost-effective means
of ensuring that essential support is kept safely close to hand.
Snap-on functions with the help of a small magnet which is embedded in
a Velcro fitting for attachment to a stick or crutch.
With a simple metal clip that fits into pockets, the stick and/or crutch
can readily be attached to the user’s clothing. In addition, small
or larger magnetic fixing plates are available so that the stick or crutch
can be safely parked in strategic areas around the home or in institutions.
With its built-in magnet, Snap-on will naturally attach to metal objects,
such as the car door, fridge, cooker, radiator, etc, keeping the stick
close by when the user's hands are otherwise occupied, and thus reducing
the risk of accidents.
It is shown on the right, holding a shopper's stick to the edge of the
counter while he pays for his purchases.
