In this podcast, I am talking to Belinda Schwehr from Care and Health Law, about her new project, CASCAIDr, a radical new approach to ensuring that people can access proper advice about the Care Act; now more essential than ever, with council funding for care in crisis.

Belinda and other experts in the field will be selling their services at a low flat rate to the charity. And the output will be free to those who need the advice.

CASCAIDr will be working for the furtherance of fairness and legal principle in adult social services.

We talk here about why she is setting up CASCAIDr, how it will be funded, who can use the service – and what sort of issues she can and can’t deal with. Listen to her insights on social care assessments, and the role of professional advocacy organisations.
