About Quingo

image of quingo scooter In the early days, there were just 3-wheeled scooters. They were simple in design. On the upside, they were short and manoeuvrable in restricted areas, on the downside they could be dangerously unstable when in inexperienced hands or on uneven terrain. This could potentially lead to vehicles tipping and to serious injury.

The industry then turned its attention to the 4-wheeled scooter which addresses many of the stability issues but in doing so created two new major disadvantages. The first was restricted leg space and bad posture caused by the vehicle's layout. The second was the increased length of the vehicle inherent in all 4-wheelers, which in turn meant a poor turning circle, poor weight distribution and restricted manoeuvrability. And until recently, those were your only options.

(AVC) Advanced Vehicle Concepts took up the challenge to solve these long-standing issues and design a new breed of mobility scooter that would perform beyond these limitations. The world's first true 5-wheel scooters with Quintell Technology provide genuine stability benefits for users, and a unique posture control system.  This patented system takes the best features of both three and four wheeled vehicles and then improves upon them. Using five wheels with Quintell technology means the best possible anatomical driving position combined with stability that exceeds even the most competent four wheelers.

Quingo Classic Scooter

Image of quingo classic five wheel scooter The Quingo Classic is intended for occasional indoor use and for outdoor pavement use on hard surfaces at up to 4mph. It is ideal for short/medium journeys, visiting friends, shops, shopping centres or just out and about. It can also be transported in most standard family sized cars.

The patented Quintell technology behind the Quingo Classic, is what really sets it apart from traditional scooters. The unique five wheel stability system provides the excellent posture and driving position of a 3-wheeler with the stability and safer cornering dynamics of a 4-wheeler. Plenty of power is provided by the 250 watt motor and its short wheelbase and ultra tight turning circle means vastly improved agility in confined areas such as shops, negotiating crowds, travel through car-parks or simply turning on narrow pavements or raised surfaces.

The Classic comes with full front and back Quintell suspension, finger-touch controls, quick release tiller, a removable shopping basket and also features the Classic Comfort seat as standard offering lumber support and adjustable arm rests to users of up to 25 stone (159kg).

Quingo Sport Scooter

Image of quingo sport scooter The Quingo Sport delivers extra power, range and carrying capacity to provide users with the ultimate personal mobility vehicle. The 8mph, 650 watt motor powered by a 160 Amp controller and two 73Ah sealed lead batteries allow for a range of up to 42 miles on a single charge.

The extra wide seat is the most accommodating of all. This two-tone foldable deep padded extra wide seat provides width and height adjustable flip-up armrests; seat height adjustment; and a full 90 degree swivel mechanism for easy on/ off access. The Quingo Sport also has a lockable security box to stow your valuables.

Standard on the Quingo Sport, the Quintell Smart Bumper is a spring loaded chrome plated steel shield for the unexpected. On impact, the bumper cleverly folds upwards, not only absorbing the shock but also acting as an emergency brake on the front centre wheel.

Every Quingo Sport houses a 12 volt power outlet socket which can be used to power any standard 12 volt accessories. This may include a satelite navigation system, a torch or the optional Quingo heated handle bar grips.

Quingo Air Scooter

Image of quingo air scooter The baby of the range, the Quingo Air is the perfect mobility solution in smaller spaces. It is ideal for use indoors or out, in shopping centres and other tight spaces, and it is easily transportable.

The Quingo Air is the most compact 5-wheel scooter with Quintell Technology in the world. Also the first in the range to use the electronic Quintell stability system.

Each section of the Quingo Air has been engineered to be as light as possible and all dismantle with a new level of ease. The largest sections with adjustable aluminium footplates weigh just 46lb/21kg which means the Quingo Air can be taken wherever you want to take it.

The Quintell kerb master is a dual function feature which acts both as a powered anti-tipping device on steep slopes, and also has the world's first powered anti-grounding device. If you ever "ground out" on a kerb that is higher than expected, the kerb master will activate to power you free.

The Quingo Air has the option of two storage features. A secure lockable compartment (optional) and a large removable shopping basket, both of which are built right into the chassis meaning that what ever you carry, the weight on the steering and vital controls remain as light as ever.

All Quingos come with a three year warranty.
