Manual & powered recliners
One
of the softest, most comfortable recliners Sherborne has ever produced,
the aptly-named Comfi-Sit lounger (shown left in sumptuous leather) is
generously proportioned, with soft, three pillow back design, wonderfully
soft arms and ultra comfortable 'chaise' seating.
There is a wide range of styles and upholstery fabrics available across Sherborne's manual recliner range, and all use a superbly smooth, easy to operate recliner action, which can be positioned with the minimum of effort into any one of a near-infinite number of comfortable recline positions. It also includes the latest in 'zero wall' technology, which means that you can place the upright recliner almost up against a wall and still fully recline it without hitting the wall.
There is a choice of finger-release catch or large handle to open up the mechanism. Either can be requested for left-handed use. The reclining mechanism can now also be powered, if you so wish, for completely effortless operation.
Motorised rise and recliners
Motorised
rise and recline armchairs, such as the elegant and practical Ascot, shown
on the right, incorporate the full powerlift facility to assist with rising
to a standing position, as well as a powered recline: ideal for sufferers
of arthritis, rheumatism, MS, poor circulation and many other mobility
restrictions.
The single motor version has a smooth and easy two-button control, enabling the footrest to be raised before the back starts reclining. It also allows the sleeping position to be reached from a starting position only approximately 10cm (4") from the wall.
There is also a dual motor model, where the backrest and footrest can be controlled independently to reach any desired recline position, including a full sleeping position. Using the 'intelligent' fifth button you can then easily return both the backrest and the footrest together to the sitting position.
Features include full 'chaise' seating, polished beech knuckles and a wonderfully soft three-pillow back, with a shorter seat for those of a smaller build. Like all Sherborne's easychairs and sofas, the Ascot is supplied with castors for ease of movement. The front castors lift away to ensure stability in raised positions. Battery back-up is also available as an optional extra. The maximum recommended user weight is 127kg (20 stones).

Shown left is the Lisbon three seater sofa, which has two independently operated reclining seats, with the centre seat fixed. The recliner action is superbly smooth and easy to operate, allowing the seat to be positioned with the minimum of effort into any one of a near-infinite number of comfortable recline positions.
The two reclining seats can now also be powered, if you so wish, with individual handset controls, for completely effortless operation.
The Sherborne range includes a wide choice of two and three seater recliner sofas, upholstered in a vast range of different fabrics and leathers. They are supplied in easy bolt-together sections or with removable recliner backs, for ease of delivery into the home.
The sofa range also now includes luxuriously comfortable sofa beds, in both fabric and leather upholstery.

an elegant Queen Anne-style traditional Wing Chair, right, provides firm,
comfortable seating, excellent lumbar support and authentic polished beech
legs.
Built on the sturdiest of frames, it will provide years of lasting comfort and support, with reversible seat cushion for maximum wear and the highest standards in upholstery detail.
The traditional fireside range also includes two-seater settees, and high seat versions of (nearly) all designs for anyone who finds rising from a standard height chair or settee a bit of a struggle.
Adjustable leg-rest stools and drop-end sofas are also available.
