Wibco has now produced a slide-in bath. Just as we invented
the first walk-in bath with an inward opening door in 1996, we are confident
that this new approach will benefit many people who really want a bath and
are not happy to be obliged to use a shower.
As most people are aware, all walk-in baths require the bather to step in
and out of the bath, and this can still be difficult for some - especially
those in wheelchairs or using walking frames.
This new model can be used independently by anyone who has even modest upper
body strength. If a carer is needed to help the bather, then very little effort
should be necessary to assist the bather to enter and exit the bath.
The Universal will be of particular benefit to Nursing and Care homes as
the gel coat surface on the bath incorporates an anti-bacterial agent (another
first in the industry) and so is ideal for multi-user situations.
Some facts and figures:
• Seat height is the same as a wheelchair
• No need for a lift or hoist
• Anti slip base
• No electrical power required
• Easy to instal
• Double wastes for fast emptying
• Supplied with a TMV3 thermostatic valve and taps
• Low cost
• Dimensions: Height 1130mm (44"); Length 1315mm (52"); Width
700mm (28")

Re-discover the pleasures of bathing again. The Luxor Bath has been carefully designed to enable you to relax and once again enjoy the pleasures of a full-length soak in the bath in the comfort of your own home.
The inward opening door means you simply walk in and bathe. The door is so easy to use: just lightly press the top pad handle and it springs open. Swing the door back and it clicks firmly shut,
with our patented water tight seal.
Now it is easy with the luxury of the Luxor Bath to just walk in, gently lower yourself into the bath sitting on the power driven belt, lie back and relax in lovely hot water.
At the end of your bath, simply press the easy to reach buttons and the belt gently lifts up into a comfortable sitting position from which you can easily stand up. This
easy to use twin roller motorised seat belt is exclusive to the Luxor Bath.
As the Luxor can be used as an ordinary bath, it is suitable for locations with users of different abilities.

A Brand New Shower Bath with optional built-in bath lift.
This aesthetically pleasing design is not only easy on the eye but is so practical too. The curved
safety glass screen is matched by the contours of the easy opening door which cannot be accidentally
opened once the screen is in position.
An anti-slip floor makes it safe to step in and then the door and screen can be closed simply by
swinging into position. The curve of the screen allows more elbow room than an ordinary straight bath
and is consequently more practical to use. There is a convenient shelf which can be used as a foot
rest or as a seat. Both the shower and the bath taps are controlled by a thermostatic TMV3 valve to
protect you, the bather. Alternative shower options are available.
Two hand grips are situated in the bath to assist with sitting upright from a lying position. Of course
the bath can be used in the normal way by stepping over the rim, but anyone with more limited mobility
can use the door for entry to shower.
The Paragon is also available with a built in bath lift. The renowned belt type seat made by Wibco
is still the only twin motor seat which lowers you right to the bottom of the bath and allows you to
recline fully, as in an ordinary bath. So you can step though the door, sit on the seat and gently descend to
the very bottom of the bath and then, having bathed, gently return to a sitting position at the
touch of a button.

WIBCO’s original concept
(another first from them) allows elderly or infirm bathers to easily sit down from outside the shower onto the fixed seat
and then simply lift their legs onto the tray before sliding across safely into the shower.
This takes away the need and effort to step onto the shower tray.
Because of this simple but effective design, the tray does not have to be recessed into the floor
to provide level access, thus saving cost and installation time. It is made to fit directly onto
the “footprint” of any normal bath from 150cms (5ft) to 180cms (5ft 11ins) length and
so installation is straightforward and is normally done in a single day.
