Caudwell Children – Free SEND resources
Free SEND resources to support emotional well-being
Caudwell Children, the charity supporting disabled and neurodivergent children, has partnered with the online educational publisher, Twinkl, to produce a collection of free resources to support children’s emotional wellbeing.
The Caudwell Children and Parents Resource Pack, aimed at children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families, is packed with engaging tools, including mindfulness colouring, emotions wheels, and breathing technique posters.
Amanda Protheroe, Parent Educational Content Lead (SEND) at Twinkl, said it’s about making emotional regulation fun and accessible:
“With this resource, parents and carers will discover how to have meaningful conversations about feelings and mental health. It’s not just about talking: it’s about giving your child practical strategies to manage emotions, boosting their confidence with inspirational quotes and helping them navigate transitions smoothly with our ‘Now and Next’ poster.
“We’re inspired by the incredible expertise Caudwell Children brings to supporting disabled and neurodivergent children and their families. Empowering children is at the heart of everything they do. By bringing Twinkl and Caudwell Children together, we know we can widen that support network and make an even bigger difference to families.”

The resources are downloadable and printable, allowing families to easily access the elements that resonate with them and their child. The new tools complement Twinkl’s free webinars designed for SEND families. Parents and guardians can also subscribe to their dedicated weekly email, which highlights a variety of supportive resources. Furthermore, Twinkl hosts a Parents SEND Facebook community group, providing information and peer support.
Nick Read, Chief Operating Officer at Caudwell Children, said:
“We’re proud to have collaborated with the talented and experienced team at Twinkl on these high-quality, free resources. It’s fitting to be launching them at a time when SEND education is in the spotlight, following the recent publication of the Schools White Paper and SEND reform proposals. Whatever impact the changes may have in the coming months and years, Caudwell Children will be here, offering support to families throughout. This pack of helpful, practical resources is another way in which we’re making daily life just a little bit easier for SEND families.”
