Kidz to Adultz Scotland

2026 is an important year for Kidz to Adultz exhibitions, as they celebrate their 25th anniversary. The next event is Kidz to Adultz Scotland, which is taking place at the Scottish Event Campus, Glasgow, on Tuesday 15th September from 9:30 am to 4 pm.

Tailored to the needs of Scotland

The event comes as around one in 25 adults in Scotland – approximately 4% of the population – receive local authority-funded social care services, highlighting the growing importance of innovation, support and collaboration across the sector.

While the Kidz to Adultz events in England focus mainly on supporting children and young people up to the age of 25 as they transition into adulthood, the Scotland event recognises that there is a wider need for accessible information and practical solutions throughout life. So for the first time, the event will include organisations, workshops and educational seminars catering to the needs of disabled adults and later life care.

Thousands of visitors anticipated

The Scottish Event Campus will welcome a range of exhibitors that includes many new organisations who meet the needs of older disabled people. Kidz to Adultz Scotland will bring together companies, charities and service providers covering mobility, communication, independent living and home adaptations, alongside a programme of free CPD-accredited seminars for parents, carers, disabled adults and professionals working in health, education and social care.

Organisers expect 2,500 visitors, building on the success of the last Kidz to Adultz event in Scotland, which attracted 1,000 attendees in 2022.

Carers need advice and information

The expansion of Kidz to Adultz Scotland responds to a clear need for accessible information and support across the country. With services, equipment providers and advice organisations often operating across different channels, finding the right support can be challenging for disabled people and families.

The Scottish Government’s Carers Census Scotland 2022-23 found that nearly four in five carers supported by local services had a recorded need for advice and information, underlining the importance of bringing organisations and resources together in one place.

New dedicated careers area

This event will also include a new dedicated careers area, providing a valuable space for all visitors (individuals with disabilities and additional needs of all ages, carers and parents (who often have transferable skills) and professionals, who are looking to take the next step in their career journey, explore new opportunities, or connect with potential employers.

We know that disability support is not limited to childhood. By broadening the focus of our Scotland event, we’re responding to the needs we see on the ground and reflecting the fact that many people require support across different stages of life.”
