Philip Anderson Archive · Independent Living

Philip Anderson acquired a rapidly progressive degenerative muscle condition in his sixties. He contributed a wonderful series of articles to Independent Living between 2019 and 2022, giving background and context to his condition, and sharing some of the ups and downs, challenges and joys he experienced in his determination to live life as independently and as fully as possible. Sadly, Philip died on 28th October 2022. I felt privileged to know him a little, and honoured to publish his articles here. His words are a fine testament to his empathy and ability to inspire others, so I am grateful to his family for allowing them to remain accessible here.
