Uplivin Glide 2-in-1 from Able2
Able2 exclusive distributor for Uplivin Glide 2-in-1
The latest addition to Able2’s range is a clever hybrid-combo rollator and transport wheelchair from Uplivin: two mobility aids in one.
Comfortable and ergonomically-designed to be the perfect day-to-day companion as a rollator, thanks to its rubberised wheels, padded handles with height adjustments and a generous seat; this rollator takes it one step further with its quick conversion to a transit wheelchair thanks to its tool-free mechanism: perfect for those who sometimes find a brief pause is not enough and they require the assistance of an attendant.
Supporting confidence and independence
Winston Wong, Lead Designer at Uplivin, explains the company ethos that mobility products should not only provide physical support, but also support confidence, independence and quality of life. By combining two essential mobility products in one, those who may be unsure as to their wheelchair needs can feel reassured by the fact that their chosen solution offers further support should require it.
The Glide 2-in-1 received a European Product Design Award (EPDA) in 2025 for its innovative approach to mobility design.
Mark Diaj, Managing Director at Able 2, says:
“Here at Able2 we are continually seeking out products that bring unique features to the market, and the Glide 2-in-1 certainly delivers.
“Uplivin’s design team have created a rollator and wheelchair that looks good, works beautifully and is perfectly at home in today’s world. We are excited to launch it into our customer base and look forward to seeing it in mobility stores up and down the country”.
Safety approvals as wheelchair and rollator
With the appropriate certifications as both a wheelchair and a rollator, the Glide 2-in-1’s pivoting handles are designed for efficiency in the push dynamic whether being controlled by a single user or being pushed by an attendant. This results in smoother handling, reduced effort for either the attendant or the user and easy navigation of the usual obstacles that crop up when out and about in town – kerbs, cobbles and doorways for example.
